• Check the battery in your smoke detector, change at daylight saving
• Practice fire drills with your family
• Have your chimney and spark arrester checked yearly
• Wood should be kept 30 feet from your home do no stack against trees, under porches or decksKeep 100 feet of garden hose attached to the outdoor water faucet
• Have fire tools accessible, shovel, rake and ladder
• Roof and gutters should be clear of pine needles and debris
• Always have working fire Extinguishers available at home and in your vehicle (Remember PASS-Pull-Aim-Squeeze and Sweep)
